i want to get a nintendo wii.

i've seen it takes normal dvd's which are 4.7gb or the dual layer 8.5gb.

most of them obviously 4.7gb standard dvds so far.

how easy is it going to be to hack it? or there a way already?

where can i check for the latest news on wii hacks?

They've already cracked it. You need the original game to play, you can use DVD Decrypt to back it up and burn it. Load up the original game, then pop it out just after the logo appears, and put the backed up version in. It may spit it out, but just put the original back in and you should be good to go.

People have asked this in 5 other threads.
1)there is no way to even READ a wii disc because its written outside to inside.
2)I will help as much as possible for backing up when i get a wii due to me not haveing one until Xmas.
3) I will focus first on the Virtual Console games being backed then to Wii games because I dont mind paying 99.95au for something brand new but i do mind paying 12au for 20 N64 games that I would love to play on Components @480p and have already paid 99.95 6-10 years ago!
Finally no one on these forums will help you figure out how to back something up it all falls apart just wait for a Pro to do it outside if iit takes 2 years it takes 2 years good for that but there will be a hack in the next 2 years

There are numerous threads on this, all with the same consistent answer.

You CAN run GC homebrew. You CAN'T yet run backup Wii titles.
