ive just recently got one of the above burners, upgraded from the 109, anyway ive tried to burn a few cd's and all of them skip, im using ritek media the same as ive allways used, burning at 16x through Nero.

as soon as i installed the drive i updated the firmware, is there any kind of test i can run to find out the problem or has anybody got any idears what it could be?

just out of interest what media do pioneer recommend to use?

This is what I found for you..

Pionner 111 Media List for your firmware!

That is from Pioneers website, so it the official one. However, use media like Verbatim and Tayio Yuden, and you'll be sorted :-D
