No skips on better media?

I have found that on my cheap generic disks I have been getting skips towards the end of the movie, last 10 minutes. Is this a media problem or is it a common problem?

It tends to be a media problem. Sometimes on really cheap media it is best not to go over 4.1GB. The end of the disc tends to be the worst place for quality.
