UMD GAME PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!

HELLO PEOPLE,
GOT THIS PSP FOR MY BOY LAST YEAR, HE AS ALREADY HAD IT REPLACED BY SONY BECAUSE OF A READ FILE ERROR (WOULDNT READ UMD DISCS)AND HAD IT REPLACED!
HE WAS PLAYING IT THIS MORNING FOR A WHILE, THEN HE PLAYED SOME MUSIC FILES THEN HE WENT BACK TO THE GAME HE COULDNT FIND THE UMD
ICON ON THE HOME PAGE.
YET HE COULD PLAY HIS OTHER UMD GAMES.

THEN TONIGHT I PUT HE GAME BACK IN ND IT WAS THERE.

ANY IDEAS WHY ITS DOING THIS IS IT HE PSP OR THE UMD?

ANY ADVISE WELCOME

The umd might be dirty, the laser lens in the psp might have some dust on it, or the umd drive could be going out again (hopefully not).

thanks for the reply,

the game appears to be clean not mark or smudge on it!

its playing his other umd games ok,

and then the game worked again tonight, this morning it wasnt even reading it you could hear it trying to read it, but it wouldnt, the screen just hung with the wavey lines they got on there.

it had no problems reading the others this morning!
strange!

hope its not going to start playing up :-(

if it got stuck at teh wavey line? this only happens to me when i boot into devhook iso mod with my UMD inside (only on my C/FW) do u have C/FW ar eu sing devhooks?

it was at the wavey lines it stuck, couldnt tel you what he done to get it there mind!
whats devhook? sorry im not up on all this!
