Hi,
is labeling a dvd with a white board non permanent marker safe?

Yes. The solvents of some might penetrate the lacquer on a CD-R, but they will not get through the polycarbonate upper half of a DVD.

kunit1- I would think you would want to use permanent markers ? unless perhaps you are using a RW- rewriteable disc & only need to label it temporarily ! but if it works for you that's all that matters !peace

the only reason that I want to use white board markers is beacuse I thought that markers couldn't get safer, but then I discovered that there are water based markers.
