hi all. i have media player 9 on my computer and have never had a problem until today. now when i try to play an AVI i now get a message saying media player has encountered an error and needs to shut down.is there anyway i can fix this. thanks

Is there only one AVI that this messge is coming up or is it happening to all the avi's you try play?

just managed to sort it out. i installed dvd santa and thats when it started. i uninstalled santa and media player was ok
