Need help with MGS Portable Ops..

In Portable Ops, on the 2nd mission where you recruit your first person, I can't figure out how to do that. They say things like "I swear I'm the only one doing anything around here," and "I was only talking to my partner why'd he have to yell." I take them to the truck and nothing happens. Please help me.

Try knocking them out or putting them to sleep and then throw
them into your truck or in the vicinity of your hidden squadmate.
