I am really tearing my hair out! I have The Nero 6 Reloaded Suite, but am encountering severe problems, which I hope some kind member can help me with.

I want to show some of my photos on my TV, but am frustrated by continual partial or whole failures.

My photos are taken on an Olympus that used EXIF2.2. The DVD player is a Panasonic DVD-S35 that ?can output jpg images?compressed in format 4:2:2 or 4:2:0?.

I tried using CDs, but whilst some images displayed correctly others would not and the index on screen just showed an X. Thinking it might be that using a CD in a DVD player was not the best idea, I bought some DVDs and burned the pics to them, using the slowest burn speed to minimise errors. The result is even worse. All that come up on screen is ?No Play? or ?Unable to play this disk?.

What am I doing wrong? I do not want any fancy music and other bits?n pieces. All I want is to be able to display the pics through my TV. Please help!

If you have NeroVision Express, does it have a slide show capability?

Yes, it does. Will that permit my pics to be played as still images? TBH I did look at VE but to my ageing brain it seemed a little difficult to use. One thing, is that on one holiday I have well over 99 images to show, and do not understand how to deal with that.
Is it best to choose "Yes" in a case like that? I tried that and got a cover with pic #1 and #100 inserted and something about 2 titles and 1 menu. It lost me, so will my pics play back using VE?

Quite possibly what I have written above seems stupid but I do not wish to waste anymore on failures, so any advice at the outset is much appreciated.

For instance I noted that there is a time for the show stated of just over 6 minutes or less than 4 seconds per image. That seems very brief and I haven?t seen anything to alter that. Does the burn speed I choose have any effect on quality?

I guess you could start here:
ftp://ftp6.nero.com/Support_doc/PDF-Vision2/createSlideShow.pdf

You might also download the help file.

There is a setting for how long each photo stays visible.

Each Menu button will hold 99 photos, I believe, so if you have more than 99, you will need a Holiday 1 and Holiday 2, unless you can think of a better way to add buttons to the menu. Menu buttons are created for each Title on the title page.

Get familiar with which pages in NVE do what, like the editing page and title page. You can test run your creation on one of the later pages. There is a little learning curve, but if you play with it for a while, you will get the hang of it, and if you have problems in one area, post back.

One thing you might want to remember, is the "MORE" button is not the same on every window. On one of the menu selection/editing pages, it contains extra navigation options.
