ive always heard verbatim is the best

but how good are memorex and maxell

maybe make a list of everyones top 5?

Here's mine:

1) Verbatim- #1 for Dual Layer media
2) Taiyo Yuden-genuine/ Made in Japan-MIJ- Sony/Fuji/
3) MIJ spindles of Maxell-made by Hitachi

All 3 of those are some awesome media,so I can't tell any differences between them.You can't go wrong with any of them.

Here's some more good stuff:

4)Ritek-preferable plus format
5) Sony-MIT-either format:These have a ripe odor-very smelly-LOL
6) MIT maxell in the 8x plus format,but cmags are contiminating them now-so beware.Cmags in their -16x

Maxell used to be some good quality media in the +4x and +8x MIJ or MIT,but I'm skeptical on their newer 16x media.

BT69.. The OD 8x are still plentiful in the 75/25 Combo packs of dvd/cdrs. Written right on the label 8x.....
