Ive been doing this for a few of my CD games coz my PS2 has stopped reading them for some reason. Most work fine when patched and burnt to DVD but a few dont. Is there a list anywhere that lists CD based games that cannot be patched and burnt to DVD?

Or can anyone tell me if the following games are able to be burnt to DVD (coz Ive tried and cant seem to get them to work):

Rez PAL
Super Bust-A-Move PAL
Lego Star Wars 1 PAL

i have had the same problem with some cd to dvd conversion +patching them to NTSC just some game wont work.there is lba checks in some of them .my cd swap works (i bought a spare)just burned the bin file as normal. then in cd swap magic chose video mode NTSC. no need to patch.i have done 3 games like this yesterday day and work fine chosing the option >>ntsc in video mode.here are some that wont work when put to dvd and patched

lemmings PAL
world chapionship darts PAL
Hawk_Kawasaki_Racing_PAL

dunno about a list,never seen one
problem is,if there was one,if someone said a game couldnt be converted,there always might be someone who said the game could
most can
never tried REZ,or bust a move
but star wars lego,does work,maybe you didnt patch all the files

reasons for them not working are
cd checks that cmp or scanlite cant find,as some games have more than 1
or lba check

Hursty, Ive actually been using your tutorial to patch CDs to DVD so thanks for that.

Whats that CMP thing you mentioned?

Is there anyway to check to see if a disc is gonna have an LBA check before wasting a DVD-R? I hate making coasters ;)
