have anybody played it yet?

I started to play it, but i kept getting sidetracked into playing it with Final Fantasy XII and NBA 2k7. So far in Okami, i just didnt like all that scenes in the beginning... was there any way of stopping it??? Gameplay doesnt seem all that special, but maybe it gets better as i play more.
