How do I defeat the first boss, in the Warworld Level, in superman returns on PS2??? the guy shrinks and grows and I don't have any idea on HOW to kill him??? please help me

I already tried gamefaqs.com... there are no information on how to defeat that boss. In fact, I can't find anything anywhere som what similar to a walkthrough or a guide or anything... So I'm really hoping somebody in here can give me some advise...

For the first boss you pick up the parts of building and towers around you using the x button and throw them at him
