i have tried to back up some of my games with alcohol, the disc burn ok but when i put them in the playstation they load up with an video format and do not play the game.
is there a special way to copie them in alcohol as i must be doing somthing wrong
any help please

What mod are you using the run the backups? I copy PS1 games with Nero just like I'd copy any CD and they run fine.

what do you mean by mods,
if you can explain how you copy in Nero as i have Nero 6 and alcohol on my computer but dont seem to be able to make a good copy.

Mods as in MODCHIP. you need a MODCHIP to play games, or as an alternative a SWAP TRICK exploit or a "BOOTDISC".
Place game in CD drive 1, Place Blank in CD drive 2.
Click and burn....

Well to write it out step by step:
To play Ps1 games on the PS2 you need either a modchip or a breaker pro. they are simply items.
You can buy breaker pro's on online retailers like http://www.consolepoint.com for around 20 dollars. Then when you get it you use the slide card that is with the breaker pro to play ps1 games on your ps2 :)

i do feel very confused all i wanted to know is
1, i have a playstation 1 and it has not been chipped or anything
2, all i want to do if possable is to copy the games i have to play on it.
3, either in alchol or Nero.
4, so in a nutshell is it possable to copy play, 1 games without touching the playstation.

nope, but if you get a swap disc for your playstation, no mods needed.
1.Insert disk
2.Wait for disk to load
3.Swap disk with burned game
4.Play backup.
Easy as that, no need to crack open the Ps1.
