Can't copy to DVD +RW

I have a NEC 6500RW[/b] DVD writer. I don't have any problems burning -R and +R with Nero but when i tried +RW disc it did nothing nor could it format it. Any suggestions?

Does Nero include InCD. If not thats what you need.

I have the IN CD feature installed and it just doesn't do anything with this type of disc.

sometimes InCD interferes with DVD burning..... but it should be able to format an RW disk! if it's not doing it then what version of Nero do you have? some Nero versions are buggy...... soooooo what version do you have? use Nero InfoTool to see what version you have.

the stable versions of Nero 7 is:

Here you have installed Nero version 7.0.0.0 (which is a "buggy" version) over Nero6....first you have to remove Nero6 and get rid of 7.0.0.0...so do the following, Uninstall Nero7 and then run BOTH these clean tools

Nero6 Clean Tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html

Nero7 Clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and then install a later version of Nero, 7.0.8.2 or 7.2.7.0 or 7.5.1.1 all available from this site

When i try to format the disc it gives me the following message:

Error writing the disc in D:. Please confirm that the disc is compatible with the drive and is not scrathed or damaged.

And if i try to copy something to it, it says:

Files on this cd-rom are read only. You cannot copy or move files to this cd-rom drive.
