Hello,
I am a Newbee to the whole subject of DVD in general and the conversion of MPEG, MPEG-4 to the DVD format (which can be played in ordinary home DVD players) in particular.
Although I would welcome a freeware software, I am ready to purchase a license, but because that there are so many programs available, it is almost impossible for a person like me to decide what to buy.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Always best to spend some time perusing these forums. This is the type of basic question that has been asked hundreds of times. There is even a specific forum devoted to it. There are quite a few approaches.
