Whats Detach Virtual Disc

Hey i got a modded xbox and i was wondering what Detach Virtual Disc means!

On my dash bored i got

1)Launch DVD
2)Trainers
3)Reboot
4)Reload
5)Power Off
6)System Utils
7)Launch Menu

If i click on "Launch Menu" 2 more choices come up

1)Apps
2)Games

If i click on "Apps" 8 more choices come up

1)Create Shadow C Drive
2)Detach Virtual Disc
3)DVD Player 1 (DVD2XBOX)
4)ISO Backup Utility
5)Project 64 X
6)Surreal 64
7)Xbox FTP Client
8)Xbox Media Center

Then if i click on "Detach Virtual Disc" nothing happens.... so what is it?

first off i would not go clicking on programs if you have no idea
what they are or what they do.

the only time i have heard of virtual drives is on a PC
You can mount and image onto a virtual drive with Daemon Tools and somehow use this virtual drive to run the game without the need to have the disc inserted.

well no $hit, you have to Shadow the C drive before you can detach it.

Shadowing the C drive will create a 1-1 image of your current C drive in e:\shadowc\shadowc.img. Nkpatcher will automatically mount this image instead of your actual C drive. You can then install and update the MS dashboard without modifications to the retail booting C drive, you then detach it and use the C drive for XBL. chances are you've allready modded your MS dash so it's of little use to you till you learn more about what you're doing.
