i have a neovo f314 lcd panel
there are lots of connectors on it
component vga composite s video
can i connect my wii with a component cable to my screen
and play at 1280x1024?

i want to buy a wii

No!
Best quality with components and it runs it in:
480Progressive scan (480p Max)@640x480
but remember every wii game will run at this so there will not be like ps2 90% of games arent Progressive 100% of wii games will but there is no full HD 1080p @ 1280x1024

i know an xbox 360 isnt a wii
the xbox can handle vga at 1280 x 1024

yes if your tv supports it

let me explain most new hd tv lcd televisions have a neat option built into them called resolution mode you can set in the setup menu of the tv the resolution you want on all channels including tv stations but so far i have only seen this feature in use on a xbox 360 using a new magnavox tv that has resolution mode built into it and it worked very nice except when it came to running games

because xbox titles dont all support really high resolutions the screen eaither would shut off or not display anything but a message saying out of display range settings change your tv settings to continue
