For 1000 US go with an Optoma HD70. You can find that puppy for under 1K and just go to fabric land and pick up some black out cloth and voila, you got yourself a BIG screen (probably around 100", not sure what width the black out screen come in, and you would use that as hight)
Optoma HD6800, 92" Greyhawk II
Opteron 165 HTPC
Marantz AV-9000
Outlaw 750
Def Tech BP-2000TL, C/L/R2000, BP-10B
Panasonic RP-82S
JVC MD recorder /CD changer
Technic 60+1 CD Changer
1150+ DVD
54+ DVD-A

I am in the market for Samsung LN-S4695D 46" LCD TV. I have been reading expert reviews and that has been useful to me. It may be help you too. I had been using PCWorld.com, cnet.com to find reviews. Yesterday I also used PriceGrabber?s expert review tab (http://www.pricegrabber.com/info_expertr...sterid=20384866)
and found a site (http://www.smartratings.com) that aggregates expert reviews. It only covers a few categories but it is pretty neat. Just my $.02.

I just got the Samsung 40", pleased. You just have to go look at em all and price shop and get what you want. Every type has it's warts and no brand is perfect. And next month it'll be passe anyway! LMAO
