Anybody using or have used Melody Media?
I have been using it for a while and has been excellent with playback and good quality imagery. No skipping etc etc
The one problem is that a few of the disks have begun to get small cracks in the clear plastic piece in the middle of the DVD.

that's not good....... better determine if you want to use media that breaks! Not me!!! stick with Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim..... those are the only ones I let my burners see!

wired- Though I have'nt used that brand " Optical Media especially DVD media spins at high rotational speeds amd any cracks or flaws that are in the plastic of the disc weaken it ! And eventually it will/may shatter !/shredd /self destruct !!!!!!!!!!!! taking your and burner with it ! And while it is your media and burner ,I would hate for that to happen to you or anyone ! me included !I would recommend ( retirement For those cracked disc) and not using that brand anymore ! and you may also want to go back to your original dvd's and make new backups on better media Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim are excellent ! That way you can then" TERMINATE " your cracked disc ! Break them completely in two !!!!!!!!!!!! or shred them if your shredder can shred cds& DVD's ( Not all shredders can) That will keep you or anyone else from ever having problems with them again !!! And if you have any of those brand blanks left over you may want to refrain from using them as well ! Good luck & Happy & Safe Burning !!! Merry Christmas !!!!!

yes i mainly use Verbatim for backing up. Verbatim is excellent media and I have never had any problems with those disks. Thanks for all the help and advice!
