I bought Ritek media -R, 16X, hub injet printable from ..... and I pay full price for it. the media can burn at 16X (with Decrypter).

Later on , I bought the same Ritek media ON SALE from a different online vender , and this Media only can burn at 5X or 6X max .

When I run the Decrypter , both media show the same ID code and same speed (16X).

Did I get a fake media or the vendor knew the media is not 16X as its supposed to be so they put them on sale ????

Have you guy/gal seen this problem before.

Could be you got faked Ritek. Who did you buy them from?

You could also have gotten a bad batch or some of lesser quality.

I used to use Ritek but no longer do - I had too many problems w/ them - mainly the GO5 printables -each spindle was hit or miss.

@Rayboy,
sounds like you have a bad batch, I personally have never had a problem with Ritek or Office Depot (Ritek made) media. Return them to the merchant and get another batch, should help the problem.

blivetNC- Sounds like good advice to me !- I've never had any bad luck with the Riteks Atleast in The 8x versions in either format DVD+R or DVD-R ! I have'nt gotten to my collected mass of 16x Officedepot Media , Riteks & Ricohjpns ! yet but if it's atleast as good as the 8x stuff should be alright ! Saugmon seems to like them - There no taiyo yudens or verbatims but not bad according to him if I'm quoting him corectly? & if not humble apologies to the green one !
