I'm having trouble with my Burner, When I try to burn an ISO file using Roxio, Method All-at-once. The drive make it through the first Phase but loops at the Recording Phase... no progress, just the drive spinning. IF the computer ever produces an error, its a generic write error. The disk has been written to but nothing is on it. I've tried CD's and other files such as MP3's using the same software and they work okay. The drive will not eject, only a restart will give me drive control back.

What do you think? Software or Hardware? I'm thinking software and would like a second opinion. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

It all depends on what version of Roxio you are using, what program in the Roxio suite you are using, and what OS you are running on.

I never heard of All-at-once, but from version 5, back, there was Track At Once and Disk At Once.

Track At Once did not close the disk, and Disc At Once did.

Thanks for the response.

You're correct it was Disc-at-once. I am using Roxio 6.1.1.40 of Creator Classic with windows XP. I haven't changed any software since the problem started but I have had some blue screen of death disk checks. Here's a bit more information. I tried using Decrypter to burn the disc and here the error...

I/O Error!

Device: [1:0:0] ...

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 00 00 23 60 00 00 20 00
Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 9056 - 9087

Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 30 05 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format

Translation anyone? I have tried several media types and different disks. The differentiator appears to be the iso file.

Again thanks for the help.
