Standalone Media Player?

I've been searching around but can find no definite answer/solution to what I need.

Basically, I want a media player which is idealy standalone, that I can store digital video and audio (mainly video) on and play off on to a TV without having to use a PC. I suppose the media player will have some sort of hard disk too, but also a USB port that I can connect an existing external hard disk too and play files which are stored on that using this media player.

The closest I've come to is this. http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=542.

Just wondering if anybody knows any other products of the sort.

A must have is the media player should be able to playback .avi files with mp3/ac3 audio.
