bittorrent is the client you use to donwload the video file I personally use Azureus you will need to have the latest java plug in installed get it here http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp, you can get Azureus here on afterdawn just search under software. Make sure you have DivX installed get it at DivX.com. Now once you have downloaded the video using the bittorrent tracker or link you should be able to play the video since i am not sure what you have done or how far into the process I can't say more. But if you did in fact download the video you should be able to play it using DivX player.

The file could be anything. Media Player Classic should have provided at least some info about what was missing to render the file. Something like GSpot or MediaInfo would provide greater detail.

i think half of your problem is the file is probley in rar format, it is ziped, most files that you get on a torrent site are rared, so you need a program like win rar to extract the files from the torrent, thain the files most likley will be in AVI or XviD, vso ConvertXtoDVD will work great to convert your AVI file to dvd, also the files could come as img files, and you could use DVD Shrink to do it's thing for you, good luck

Bit late for Azureus since you already downloaded it.

You'd know if it were rar files because there would be 49odd .rar, .r00, .r01, etc. files (could also Part01.rar, Part02.rar or .001, .002).

just download the program WinRAR and that will extract any file you get off of any torrent site
