Newbie - DVD Playing in Standalone Player

I thought I had successfully ripped and burned Fast Times at Ridgemont high (DVD9). The DVD played flawlessly in my computer. However, when I tried to use a Standalone player it began to load the DVD and then automatically ejected the disc. Any ideas? Please help, I am desperate.

A few things
Did you create a VIDEO_TS and an AUDIO_TS file on the root of the disc ? (It helps with compatibility issues with some set-tops.)
Did you get VTS sectors ?
Did it play in IFOEdits DVD player ?
did you check if your set-top is compatible with DVD-R discs ? (is this your first disc tried in set-top ?)

Thanks for info. Yes, both directories exist, I ran Get VTS sectors with Ifoedit 9.1 and it ran flawlessly using Ifoedit's player. I've successfully ripped other DVD titles fine and they've played in my Pioneer standalone. Any help is much appreciated.
