Hey there
I'm using Azureus, currently downloading Casino Royale. I have a 1MB connection and it was downloading between 60-100kb/sec but as soon as it's reached 65.1% complete, the download speed has slowed to 1kb/sec and now is around 700bytes/sec. I can't think why this is - the upload is still around 20-30kb/sec...
The green faces are showing and the NAT/firewall are not causing any problems as I can see (I'm still fairly new to this).
Anyway, hope someone can help with this, cheers :-)

Sounds like all the peers are at or under 65.1% and there are very few seeds compared to peers.

Thanks for that - is there any way round this or must I wait for more seeds to become available? My ratio is quite low at the moment though as it's only been uploading for the last couple of hours it's gone to yellow from red.
A possible problem is that "DHT Firewalled" is yellow at the bottom (though NAT is green and OK). I've already delved into the Netgear router and allowed port 3661 which is what it's using...
Is that supposed to be green too?

You'll have to wait, anyway your ratio will increase. DHT is disabled in my client so I doubt that's any problem; NAT would be if it was'nt green. I may be wrong but I think private trackers want it disabled. I'm not familar with Azureus but they reccomend a port between (about) 47,000 - 70,000, try one in the 50,000 range, From what I understand, ISP's can block ports under 10,000.

Hi again
Thanks for the reply - I've just downloaded a South park episode which bombd down at 113kb/sec.
I've noticed on the details that some segments of the Casino Royale file are unavailable so do I wait for a few hours or days or how long for those to become available? I presume someone's got them so is it a case of waiting for them to come online again?

Sounds like no seeds to me. In that case, you can only wait but if it goes on too long, turn down your upload speed after you achieve a good ratio or you could be uploading an incredible amount.

I've done a screenshot so you can see whats happening - I'm not sure what's happening with the swarm speed and their average but it looks like I may be banned from the tracker?? My ratio is increasing and my uploads/downloads are set to max - anyway I've just downloaded a different one which was half the size (?) and completed in 6-7 hours but turned out to be the old one in french... :(

PUKKA is a good uploader so I doubt it's a fake. Besides, the swarm shows as downloading and fakes are usually in the 90% range, too. Try canceling the download and restarting it. You could also try downloading the same file on another site; you're using a public site, right?, Isohunt is showing a great many seeds and peers for that file. You won't want to hear this but a ts isn't usually great quality, there are tc's or even DVD around. Edit: looking closer, I see there are seeds, you're just not connected to them so it's not fake and as you're connected to peers, you're not banned. Just wait or restart the torrent to see if that helps but I doubt it will. Other peers will download the file and upload it to you so your speeds will stop and start continually. Eventually you'll get it.

@KingBasil:
After evaluating your screenshot, the problems is you don't have any seeds connected, online and sharing the file. Remember, seeds have the complete file, peers (leechers) have various parts of the file but not the complete file. Your swarm shows that there are others with the file but they are not connected. As suggested, waiting might work (a seeder might become available) or you may consider another BitTorrent client to see if the file is available from them.
Sometimes that's just the way it goes. It's all about seeding and sharing, doing one's fair share and then some to make peer-to-peer work.
