i'd like to play it online, but i suck with a controller. can a ps2 use a keyboard and mouse hooked to the usb ports and call of duty be played with them instead of the controller?

no because you need you need to have drivers because the ps2 comes loaded with stock controller drivers. Ps2 doesnt support mouse or keyboard. unless via linux which you cant play games.

Actually Ps2 has full support for USB Keyboards as long as you have the correct file that should end in ".irx". Look at Phantasy Star. It was made for the keyboard. You'll need to find a driver for the keyboard (don't ask me what the name is and where to get it) and add it to and iso and burn. That's the best I can think of. Something like a ppf patch for it would work.

Well I went on TonyHawkPS4 with a PS2Keyboard connected to a PS2>USB adaptor, and I could type with it, but the problem with Call of Duty could be setting up the key commands (ie move, jump) but I have not tried using a mouse yet. If it could work, I would be kickin ass online! haha
