i have a 30gb ipod video and a monster cable to play videos on my HDTV. when i connected them (which i know was done right) only sound came from the tv. i doubt it's the tv (less than a year old) or my ipod (less than a month old) or the cable (new and from a trusted company). any ideas of the problem? thanks in advance.

Just a guess here but did you go to options and select the TV Out feature?

The people over at Apple tried to fool all of us, all you need to do is switch the Yellow and Red RCA cables.
