This is what I would like to do:
Throw a splitter on my main audio output from my PC and then hook both my home stereo and my PC sound system up to it. Does anyone know if this would work?

hi i have my home pc done similiar to what you are saying.
i have the audigy plat and where the output is for the 2 regular speakers, it is split and works fine .............i have been doing some reading though that a digital to analog convertor for my system would make things better as i refuse to get rid of my 15 year old ken woood .......still kicking and the power is just great and for its day was a rocker heck it may be older lol
