I'm using the latest version of DVD2SVCD, becuase it offers subtitle ripping. Everything goes along fine until bbmpeg executes. It scans the temporary files and begins to mux the video/audio and then:

DVD2SVCD logfile:

- 7/31/2003 1:27:05 AM
- Free on drive C: 11012.91 mb
- Crash Recovery

Offset in Seconds: 2
Executing bbMPEG.
Variable Settings:
Movie offset: 2 seconds
Cut point: 895 mb

Executing RunbbMPEG. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\bbMPEG\RunbbMPEG.exe" "C:\DVDRip\bbMPEG_Muxed_File.mpg"
bbMPEG failed. Exitcode: 3221225477

bbmpeg does not want to save the logfile for some reason, so I can't post it here. The last message it gives me is:

Multiplexing file c:\program files\dvd2svcd\movie\bbmpeg_muxed_file00.mpg

At this point, bbmpeg gives me an error saying "Error reading from an input file."

What input file?

An inelegant workaround is to re-use TMPGEnc again to mux the video and audio, but I'd like to get DVD2SVCD to do the entire process. I'm following the guide posted here, is there something that's being overlooked?

I don't have a rock solid answer for you but you can try these settings and see if this is the fix (if applicable).
===============================================
Click the CDImage tab. If you dont want any fancy Chapters or Title pictures, etc, just click Dont Make Images and you will end up with 2-3 MPG files ready to burn with Nero. If you do want to include Chapter and/or Title Pictures, then select VCDXBuild. The default ChangeCD pic is excellent. If you click on Movie info (IMDB), it will extract all the movie data (Directors, actors, etc) and the DVD front picture from http://www.imdb.com for inclusion on the CD. For Fixed Chapters, select a number in seconds that you want each chapter point to be set to. I use 240 (4 min.) so I get about 10-12 per CD. For DVD Chapters, you need to rip the DVD with the internal ripper.

Click the Subtitles tab. If you want to include subtitles, tick the Rip Subtitles box and select either Permanent Sub titles or SVCD Subtitles (this allows them to be selectable on your DVD Player if it has this feature). In Subtitle Lang. 1 pick the language you want. It must have been on the DVD originally. When you start the conversion, it will ask you then to select the correct Subtitle track from those available.

Thanks. Gave that a try, bbmpeg still generates the same error.

DVD2SVCD is generating the proper .mpv and .mp2 files, so putting them back together and cutting the resulting .mpg is fairly easy, I was just hoping for an all-in-one solution.

I'll continue to play with bbmpeg's settings and see if I can get it to work properly.
