i was thinking about buying the Wii.
is it any good as they say?? how are the graphics?? and the gameplay??

I'm going to get one once they're back in stock over here in the UK.
Nintendo Series doesn't care about how powerful the graphics unlike the Playstation and the Xbox, though the Wii graphics are improved from the gamecube graphics.

Gameplay wise has to be number one i reckon.. it's fun to use the wand :)

well yes and no, it great if you want to have fun, my family and i have had hours of fun on it - wii sports is a kick ass game

Graphics =

just a tad better than the cube/ps2 not great but like i said it really doesnt matter, ill be getting a ps3 anyway, i bought the Wii as its such a great little gaming machine.

gameplay =

see all the above, best "game" machine i have ever played, super fun for all the family, but i fear it lacks main stream games, ie....

FF series, resi series and such, i believe if we get any of those they will be mer ports which would be a shame

I agree with RavenLife it's a super fun system but the graphics are much to be desired. I've played it at my friends house and every chance I get in the gamestop and I've always had a fun time. The controls are amazing and so different. When they said they wanted to get people who don't normally play video games to play they were right cause my friend's whole family plays it, including his 50+ Dad. Man I want one so bad. But, if you want a machine that is all about graphics I'd go with PS3. I've heard that the games for PS3 aren't that fun, I've played it twice and the games I played didn't seem to have the amazing graphics that I saw in pics before the system came out. Anyways I don't know if this helped but I think it's a great system for gamer's who enjoy fun games.

Best system ever. I am simply amazed at how Wii Sports' Tennis is actually like real tennis. It's great. And Zelda, Twilight Princess is awesome too. And the best part about this whole system? When I get sick of playing the new stuff (rarely) I go back to the Wii menu and play Super Mario Bros from NES. =)

The Wii is TOTALLY worth $250.00.

Worth it it is but they should have had an ethernet port but if your neigbour dosent have encrypted wireless like mine well then you know LOL!

and they do give you the option of plugging in a usb cable
