Hi

I am trying to connect to the internet using my mobile phone as a modem (Sony Ericson W850I), via USB. I have configured the connection and now can connect but the dial up speed is unbelievably slow, 9.6Kb. I know there are much faster connections available however I like the idea of a local ISP as the number is obviously charged at local/national rates and is included in my contract price plan.

Does any one know why the connection is so sllllllllooooooowwwww? I would have thought using my mobile as modem would just be the same as using my fixed PCI slot card attached to hard landline? Where I can get up to the dddiiiiizzyyy heights of 56k..

Secondly the other types of connection available does any one have any thoughts on which are good value/ decent speed. Obviously still only interested in connecting through mobile. I am on T?mobile Flext if this helps.

Any one any thoughts ideas???
