I should be receiving a Plextor 760A tomorrow. It will be replacing a BenQ 1640 drive (Gonna keep the 1640 as a spare for either my laptop/desktop. I still have the Plextor 740UF case that I took it out of.) When the 760 arrives, I'll be moving my LiteOn 160P6S from Master to Slave, and install my 760A as Master.

I have 3 questions:

1) What firmware do 760A users recommend for optimal burns on
YUDEN000 T02 media with this drive?

2) Also, what are the main advantages of the "Free your Plextor" firmwares. (See this thread: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=199281)
This will be my first true Plextor, so, I don't kow how it did or didn't interact with "free software."

3) How much more useful is PlexTools Pro XL over the "non-XL" PlexTools Pro that come with the drive? Is it worth the upgrade cost?

Any and all input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, in advance ladies and gents...
