Hi,

Could be the media, the burner firmware, or burning too fast. Post your Nero history log section for the burn. Depending on your Nero version, the history file can be found in one of these paths:

Nero 6: Program Files -> Ahead -> Nero -> NeroHistory
Nero 7: Nero 6: Program Files -> Nero -> Nero7 -> Core -> NeroHistory

Post only one section of the log that deals with a failed burn. Each section begins with a header followed by your name and program serial number. Be sure to delete your name and serial number from the post.

Hi.

Yes the entire section would be helpful. The PMA (program memory area) error is an error that can be caused by either the hardware or most frequently the media. Using poor quality media, burning too fast for the media, and out of date firmware can also contribute to the error. Your log will tell us what media you used and your firmware version. We know you burned at 10X which may be a little too fast, especially if you're using poor quality media.

Once you locate the NeroHistory file in one of the path's specified above, go to the end of the file and scroll up until you see your name and program serial number. That will be the beginning of the last log section for the burn. Copy everything from below your name and serial number to the end of the log file and post back to this thread.

Hi.

You might try updating to a more recent stable version of Nero. Nero 6.6.0.18 is the latest most stable version for Nero 6.

Write down your program serial number, uninstall Nero, and then run the Nero 6 Clean Tool available here:

http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

Next download and install the following two Nero 6 packages:

Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

You might check the Dell sight for a more up to date firmware for your burner. I think that drive is made for Dell by Philips but I may be wrong.

The InfoDisc media is not the best. 10X may be a little slow for CD media. Try a faster speed like 24X. If you have a different brand, try that.

Let us know how you make out.
