well i just purchased a new compaq computer with a dvd/cd writer and i was copying a movia and it said error drive e or whateverone it is and then when i tried to play the movie in windows media it was all glitchy or whatever and it wont read them right can i fix this?

bkippers, If your using good software and good media, my suggestion would be to burn at a lower speed 8X or even 4X.

There could be many things...
Post your failed burn log here for us to look at. Only post the last one, which will begin like so..

Then we can have a look through it, and help you correct the problem.

If you weren't using Nero to burn, then look for your log in your softwares 'Program Files' folder. Start -> My Computer -> C:\ -> Program Files -> [Your Software] -> [Something like Historylog.txt]
