Hi there i have recently ordered a modded 360 and a Samsung SH-D162C dvd drive with Kreons modified firmware. I only have a laptop at home though is there any adapter / method to connect a internal DVD drive to a laptop. any help appreciated.

Yes, you can get external enclosures for them and then they connect via USB!

need to use a 5.25" drive enclosure that connects to your laptop either with usb2 or firewire. as dvd burner is usually ide interface than make certain the enclosure is ide inside. also comes with external power adapter.

I have one of these, good for transferring larges amounts of data between my computer and the kids computers,(not hooked to the internet by hte way)

Have also used it to connect a Samsung DVD-Rom drive to load software into those computers as well. Works awesome!

no the Samsung SH-D162C dvd drive is just a dvd-rom drive which is just a reader.
