Howdy everyone,

I got the new series of peep show on dvd and it plays fine on one of my players but not on my ps2 and i can only get it to play on my computer if i turn hardware acceleration off in windvd. The problem is, the video and audio play but the audio is sped up and the video is juttery and stays on the same image for a while before getting stuck again a few seconds later. Its not the players as i can play my other dvds on them fine but i dont get how the disc could be affected in the same way in two different players but not in another. This has only ever happened with one other dvd which was the producers.
I could try ripping it to my computer and burning it again, would that help incase it was something to do with disc compatability?
(it's genuine though, bought it from a shop, so it isnt a dodgy burn)
Any help would be great,
cheers

EDIT: I looked around several more sites and it turns out that channel 4 are aware of the problem. This was actually on imdb
"Please find below the information we received from channel 4:

Unfortunately we have had a couple of player compatibility issues with our initial run on Peep Show 3 ? for some reason they don?t work very well in Playstation 2?s or X-Boxes, although they work fine on all DVD players.

I have asked the authoring house to look into this, we have re-created another master and I?m currently getting this checked out by a quality control house to ensure we don?t have this problem again. Once we manufacture another batch I?ll send off replacement copies to the various people.

If you get any more of these, can you either get their address and forward it on to me, or alternatively get them to address their query direct to ViewerEnquiries@channel4.co.uk and they will take care of it from there?

Many thanks,

DVD Operations Manager
Channel 4"

so anyone else with the problem, i'd suggest take the dvd back and wait for the re-release or put it on your hard drive and make do :)
