i wish i could tell you but this would get me banned from afterdawn.com because this falls under hacking or bypassing security on a dvd device

Never mind. I just found out it's an absolute MUST that you have Linux to dump the WODs/GODs. Windows can't understand the file format.

You need to hack your dvd drive firmware to get rid of the Error Code Detection in order to read the disc on PC.

How I don't know
How exactly do you do such a thing? Can you PM me a guide to explain how to do that and how to revert back to normal if I screw something up? I also need to mention that I have yet to get myself a DVD drive to put into my computer. Someone told me that there's a way to make a CD drive able to read/burn DVDs. Have you heard of such a thing? Can you hack the firmware to do that?

This site supposedly provides the information about the unscrambler. I don't really know anything about it though. Maybe people seeing this link and reviewing it will help the modding of the Wii progress. http://www.ingenieria-inversa.cl/?p=9

let me explain the hacked dvd firmware in a nut shell

the hacked dvd firmware dump only works on the wii cd drive to beable to backup games there is also a dvd drive hack for pc firmware but if you use it not only will your dvd drive no longer read anything except wii disks it will no longer read pc disks and audio cds as well

Hmm, can you just return to stock firmware to fix that(I might not need to do that, as I'm upgrading my computer soon, and I believe it has 2 DVD drives, one that burns/reads, and one that reads only(that's the one I'll put the hacked firmware on))?
