Ellos,

I'm running a little project right now at work which requires me to set up one set of subtitles, in english, for each scene in the DVD. We have a copy of DVDit PE which will let us place the appropriate MPEG filed on to the dvd; however, DVDit does not support subtitles.

So far, the only software that I could find with subs enabled at a half-decent price have been Sonic's ReelDVD (which costs upwards of a thousand dollars) and Apple's DVD Studio Pro. Are there any cheaper alternatives for inserting our own (overlaid) subtitles onto a disc?

I did check to see if this type of message had been answered already; if I simply missed that, many apologies for my ignorance.

I haven't tried this sw, but Pinnacle has a product called Impression DVD-Pro that handles subtitles and costs USD$600. Can't find a demo copy link on their web page:
