i just got a DVD cam by hitachi for christmas.i cant get the dvd files to save to computer.how do i ? it really frustrates me ... i want to be able to upload these files to myspace and people want copies of what im taping please help

you have to save the files from the dvdcam that the computor will understand, try saving the files as AVI or as mpeg, is your interface a firewire or usb? what programs are you using to capture the files? you might try pinnicle or adobie

You might start by reading the bloody MANUAL that came with the camera. It should explain the software you got, how to connect to the pc, and how to use it. What do you want us to do, read your mind? If you're going to ask a question at least give us some INFORMATION on what's going wrong or a least on what you got: camera model#, software, connections. That way someone here might have the same camera and can help.

i have a DZ-GX20MA hitachi dvd cam.....and the software is dvd-moviealb and dvdfunstudio .... i read the manual ...it said nothin abouit how to get movies onto the computer...but im using DVD-R cd's ...would it be easier if i used dvd-ram?
