I have ”Torrent 1.6 and i use it, to download film, games and music, and my speed is only between 130 - 140KB/s and I have 1MBIT fast internet, so why can't I get my download speed higher than this?
My download and upload settings is:
Download: Unlimited
Upload: 15 - 50KB/s
PS. I only download 1 time, and when thats its finished, i download the next thing.
You will find that it depends on the upload speeds of the seeders and how many seeders you can connect to. If the seeders upload speed is slow, then you will download slow. If it is high, then you will donwload high. The more seeders, the better download rate you will get, so it is best to check the health of the current torrent you are downloading. I use uTorrent also, and I find that I do get slow speeds when I download also.
Check the seeds & leeches, the more seeds the faster the torrent, the more leeches (also known as peers) the slower the torrent (as the seeds transfer has to be divided between the lot).
BTW, I wouldn't be complaining, those are excellent speeds :-p
