Hello and welcome to my nightmare.time and time again i have burned dvd's onto dvd's but they never seem to work on my DVD player.
I know how this must feel for you guys:'do a little research''how stupid is this guy'.Even though i'm practically certain that it's a format problem, i don't even know were to look cause i'm so crap at this.

So, here is my problem and how it happends: I insert a blank DVD on whick i would ike to burn a DVD that's allready on my computer in DivX format for example,so a popup come up and says use record now!so i do and then i show which files i wish toburn onto the disk and wait half an hour i then put it in my dvd player and nothing happens.

They end.

I've wasted about 15 Cd's in this process so could someone please direct me to a good tutorial...

I would greatly appreciate any help.

What are the names of the files on your burnt disc?
Did you convert your AVI files to dvd format or are they still AVI files?

.
To do this, you need to convert the files.
You need a program that will convert AVI to dvd.

In this case i thank you very much for helping me because now I will be watching movies with my family on the dvd player and having good times.

There are many programs that will do the job. That's only one of them. I'm sure some one will also post programs that they have success with. Some people like ConvertXtoDVD, Cususoft AVI to VCD / DVD, Nero and WinAVI are some others.
