Problem Backing up Homemade Movies!?!?!?!

one of my buddies has a homemade dvd produced from a dvd camcorder. when he tries to back it up in DVD Shrink and clonedvd2 he gets an error message about 48% into the read about a corrupt file. i know this sounds crazy but dvd camcorders don't have some kind of special copy protection?

There is no need to use DVD Shrink or CloneDVD to backup the HandyCam disc.

Try using DVD Decrypter or AnyDVDs ripping mode to rip the files to the Hard Drive.

Also allot of the HandyCam mini disc need to be finalized to be able to be edited and read on your PC.
