use torrrents.

1 download a client, IMO the best one available from utorrent.com

2 go to a torrent site such as torrentspy.com or isohunt.com and search for the file you want

3 download a small file called a torrent, double click it to start the real download

X2 3800, A8n deluxe motherboard, 7800GT, Xion 2 case
2GB Patriot DDR 400, Audigy 2 ZS gamer, 400GB SATA RAID 0
games Im looking forward to: bioshock, SSBB, enemy territory quake wars, halo 3
currently playing: command and conquer 3, supreme commander, counter strike, shivering isles

Hi,

Your right, thats whats happening with Limewire now, same thing happends with Frostwire. Thats why I suggest you experiment with BitTorrent, I belive its the only way to file share, due to:

*Superior Speeds
*Superior privacy
*Superior Selections

Firstly, you require a Bit Torrent client to be able to use BT protocol to file share, install one of the following:

All of these will do the same thing, there are slight difference however that set the other apart, which ever one you decide to
use is OK.

BitCommet:

http://www.bitcomet.com/doc/download.htm

Azureus:

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

uTorrent:

http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

ABC [Yet Another Bittorrent Client]

http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/

BitTornado

http://bittornado.com/

After you have chosen your client, you now of course have to endeavor into BT file-sharing,
on the bellow trackers, you will be able to find huge selections of .torrent files you can download
with your BT client and run in order to create a peer-to-peer link and aquire your file.

Some good public BT tracker's:

http://www.isohunt.com

http://www.torrentspy.com/

http://www.mininova.org/

http://www.torrentbox.com/

You'll find the best stuff at private trackers, theese sites are invite only usually, you need to receive an invite from someone on the inside to gain membership,WARNING You are not allowed to ask for invites at AfterDawn.Com.

Stick with public trackers (for now) , the list of them goes on really, once you've installed your client, just search for what you want in any of those sites and download the .torrent file, TomMelee's BT Bible will weed out any other answers you need, it explains everything you need to know in easily dijestable form, you can download his guide from here:

TomMelee's BT Bible 1.2

http://www.plucky.org/download-central/p2p-tutorials/

That should cover everything needed for you to start using BT, theres plenty of other torrent guides and good threads regarding BT and other means of file sharing:

AfterDawn P2P forums

They will provide a great source of information for you to get yourself in the know.

Check out this guide for ways to make yourself safe wilst using BT:

You can try WinMX (patched). It has technology that blocks out fake files, unlike LimeWire. You're not going to get as many results as you do with LimeWire, though.

If your problem with LimeWire is that it brings up too many fake files, try this: try searching with quotation marks when you can. When you search something in quotes, it only returns searches with that exact phrase. But with LimeWire, it seems to keep out all the fake files too.

For example:
Artist: Fall Out Boy
Song: "arms race"
(because "arms race" is part of the title - This ain't a scene, it's an arms race.
I find that that keeps out the fake files.
