i am living in canada and it is so hard to find a wii. All stores i could go to buy a wii are all sold out scince the first batch of wiis came out. So I was just wondering if there will be any new shipments of wiis where I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
P.S. i am very much in need and online shopping is off the list for meplz help i need a wii!! thx in advance plz lave comments suggestions etc..

Ya in most places tehy are sold out from what I have heard in NC they sure are so get put on a waiting list at a store taht is gonna get Wii shipments and wait.
P.S. why is online out i know u can get one there (might be a little pricy though)

Oh that sucks. But u should defently try teh waiting list or I guess an u could find a friend who wants to sell his or hers. I highly dought that anyone would want to sell it b/c it is so awsome, haha. But wait adn be paceint[b][/b]

Be patient check your Wal Marts(that's where I got mine)in the area and Toy's R Us. They seem to sell out slower than the rest. Wal mart tends to put shipments out between 11Am and Noon Wed or Thu. good luck

JkG, I'm in the same area so I know how hard it was. It took me a month to luck into one so my suggestion is also to bank on Walmart. Thy seem to get them at least a couple of times a week, usually around 12 of them. Some tips courtesy of clerks I have annoyed over the holidays: they come in around 11 am - 1 pm. Listen for the "electronics to shipping" announcement and most importantly, when I finally got mine, there were about 20 people waiting in electronic ahead of me standing around the glass where the games are, don't go there! I saw a guy opening a box away from there and asked him if I could have one. He said, "get in line it's first come first serve" so I got in line and when he was ready he yelled it to the rest of the crowd so I ended up ahead of them all :) SO I would suggest if you see a crowd, get in line and then try and ask around while in line before you get to the cash.
Hope it helps, I know that hopeless feeling all to well. And hey, it is worth the effort!

after a long search, I got a wii today from EB Games at Square One in Mississauga. They said it was one of the bigger shipments they received...I know they sold 5 right away, and still had some left. I dont know how many came in, since he was just opening the boxes and selling to those of us who came in right at opening.
this is the second wednesday in a row EB games has had a shipment, with availability right when they open their doors.

Anyone got shipment information in the province of Quebec(Montreal or Laval areas)? It's been since lauch that I wasn't able to get one. I was supposed to get one today(a clerc at my local MicroPlay said that they might have gotten one today, and that he'd call me if they did, but unfortunately, I didn't get the call... DAMN!!! I NEED A WII!!!) On top of that, the supplier that sells the Wiis to MicroPlay have no clue when they'll get any(when they get some, they're due to get 25, and is sold based on a waiting list, for which I'm 10th).

the best place to grab a wii believe it or not is costco because when they get there shipments in, instead of being 4 they get a whole crate which is about 15 so you have a more likely chance to get it there than any other store!

Well all the information is already out there if you were to look. Costco(once a month middle of), Wal Mart, EB games, all are still getting regular shipments on regular intervals usually Wed & Thurs., it's still just timing and luck to get them, and there always Ebay if you want to pay a little more for it. It's not rocket science.

I heard Best Buy (Canada) is getting a shipment tomorrow (January 25) yet I haven't been able to confirm it from Best Buy themselves. Is this true? Does Best Buy follow the Thursday-restocking pattern?

As an update to anyone living in Canada and wanting to acquire a Nintendo Wii: tomorrow 01/28/2007 Walmarts across Canada will be restocking Wiis as well as Best Buy on 01/30/2007

Time for me to run to Best Buy Wednesday morning. Are you sure this isn't fake info? Because, on January 25, they never recieved any Wiis and have never heard of such a thing. Also, Wal-Mart told me today that they never recieved any Wiis, not today and not yesterday. You falsifying information? If Best Buy tells me the same thing as Wal-Mart, you're officially falsifying the shipment info(unless it was that specific location that didn't recieve any).
