now, this is probably the coolest thing I've come accross in a long while..... people will probably already have heard of the programme or idea but its now available on wii, and works a bloody treat.

www.orb.com

orb allows you to connect to your PC to view files on another PC via the web... now the nice guys there have made it Wii compatible!

what you have to do is go to the orb website, download the software, register (its free!) and now you have your orb account! set it up on your PC and choose the folders you're allowed to access (make sure it has the content you want to view!)

THEN...go to mycast.orb.com on your Wii and login.. heypresto! you can now browse for content on your PC and it will stream it through to your Wii! its fantastic! just been testing it now and to load a 30Mb file it took around 7 seconds... not too shabby really! of course it all depends on your upstream. played a WMV file no problem also, gonnna test a film through it tomorow though!

Hes just telling sue what to use to stream onto the Wii.

I've been playing with this its realy cool, don't call him a spammer, there only being nice giving us some fresh news on this kinda dry Wii section of the forum.

its a great little system, really is. I was running a film through it earlier, problem is that you cant really watch it full screen! but its a good system, works quickly, started streaming after about 5-10 seconds and that was it, a few flickers in sound but thats because my system is slightly below requirements.
For music it works great though played a 45 minute podcast through with no problems what so ever! if you've got your wii online its really really worth it
