Hello all, just looking for a little help on something that's been bothering me for a few weeks. I have some mkv files on my computer. Initially, I had some problems converting them using river past video cleaner pro. It's kinda hit or miss if it will convert it to AVI. In every case, the audio is out of sync about 3-5 seconds with the video, getting sound before video. I've tried everything from using both versions of matroska pack, mkvtoolnix, trying different versions of FFDShow and still nothing works. Now, that I've tried the lastest version of FFDShow, none of my AVI files will play in wmp 11. I have noticed that the FFDShow video and audio icons are always up in my tray. I am truly out of ideas and I really hope it's something small that I'm overlooking or just don't know about. Please help. Thanks.

Try this for the AVI sync issue : http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/ Drag your AVI into the top window, highlight it and select "generate data". Now, in the lower window, highlight audio and the delay in ms will appear in a box to the right. Select "start", putting the file where you want and naming it what you want and in a minute oor two you will have a new file. If interested, I believe that ConvertXtoDVD or WinAvi will burn your mkv files but the trial of ConvertXtoDVD will leave a watermark in your video. It does create a simple menu, though.

Sorry, I keep forgetting to reply, but thanks a thousand times over. I knew something like this had to exist but didn't know where to find it. Now that I've got it, I've got no problems if a converted AVI is out of sync. Thanks a lot!!
