i'm trying to get my linksys router qos configured so my calls won't sound so awful when i have utorrent running. i've seen conflicting info on what's the best firmware for my router. all the posts i've found have been at least a year old, and new firmware comes out all the time. any input?

Quite simply, your calls suffer because your torrents are soaking up all your bandwidth.

You can limit your usage in the application, that's quite easy.

Also, AFAIK there is NO official firmware that lets you prioritize bandwidth on a per-port basis, which is what you're wanting to do. There IS however a set of custom firmware for that router, which is highly recommended and very easy to use, which DOES allow per-port squelching. (among other things, you can also boost your antenna range and lots of other goodies.)
