I'm getting 'Illegal Disc Error' when I try to burn with DVD-R's. Can anyone help me? But I can burn fine with DVD+R's.

Hi.
You posted your entire log file so your Nero serial number beginning 1C... appears at the start of each of the log sections. You'll need to edit your post to delete these serial numbers. Click the paper/pencil icon in the upper right of your post to eneter edit mode for that post.
You're using CMC Magnetics media which is of poor quality. Try using Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, and made in Japan labeled media, especially Fuji and Sony for best results. It doesn't cost any more on sale than the poor quality media.
I think the firmware you're using is a stock firmware for an OEM burner supplied to Gateway/Emachines/Dell but I'm not positive. If it is, it's very old and there isn't an upgrade path. Fortunately, Liteon drives can be crossflashed to Liteon retail drives and updated. Try flashing the firmware linked below. It should upgrade to a model 1653.

There is a Roxio driver installed as well which can interfere with in some configurations. If you continue to experience problems, uninstall any Roxio software like Easy Media Creator, etc., and run the Roxio Zapper to remove the driver.

The illegal disk error often means the burner doesn't recognize the media. It's likely a firmware issue. You can also try using some older 8X media if all else fails.
