For starters, I am 29 years old and have 3 children. My middle child has not really been good at anything she tried and has little confidence in anything she does try. I went and bought a Wii last night at a local Wal-Mart and brought it home. I started playing Wii Sports Bowling and she had asked to play also. I gave her a chance and she was bowling strikes and spares. So my wife suggfested a family tournament with 6 competitors and my little unconfident girl was a champion setting a point record that I am still trying to beat. Now it just seems like her confidence is through the roof
THANK YOU NINTENDO YOU REALLY OUTDONE YOURSELVES ON THIS SYSTEM.

Agreed. I have two boys who love this system but what I really like is having my niece (who never wanted to play video games) play and get right into the sports games as well as excite truck. Everyone who has tried this thing loves it. Good job!

To add to this story, I invited my 59 year old mother (who was once on a bowling league and loved that part of her life, had to stop playing years ago due to arthritis and bad knee and ankle joints) over to play and challenge my daughter. My mother was impressed with her skills but more impressed that she could enjoy bowling again.

Very much agreed. I picked mine on on launch day (waited overnight, but it was worth it!) and have taken it everywhere I go when there will be family around.
Took it with me on Thanksgiving break and EVERYONE loved it. I literally sold at least 7 systems while there. Even my parents want one! Then I took it for other in the family over Christmas and sold a few more. Nintendo really made a brilliant move with this one :)
Both my grandmothers love it, as do each my my aunts and uncles who've tried it out. Most of them love it for bowling along, let alone anything else they may play in the future.
Something tells me that once Wii Play hits shelves, I'll pull in even more people :)

Its like ddr only all the games are this fun... I think I'm going to buy a wii. Great for when you have people over and can be fun for everybody. Plus at only 250 bucks its worth it.
