You may have to many programes running in your start up menu try to reduce these where possible. The more you have running the harder your computer will work and your fans will work more keeping the computer cool.

john, edit your sig to conform to forum rules.
1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.
2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.

for some reason i found nortons and mcaffee(sp) have a autoupdater that runs in the background and eats up cpu. to see whats using up your cpu open up the task manager (using alt+ctrl+dele) go to the processes tab and look under the cpu list. if like me you find these sometimes was burning up 90 to 95% of the cpu's resources.

Download and try Process Explorer. It will show what is causing your processor usage to jump. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinte...ssExplorer.mspx

Another idea would be to scan for viruses and spyware.

Bitcomet runs on C++, its true, but limewire is a beast none the less.
You also haven't told us anything about your PC, by the way. Tell us some specs, if your computer is old then there might not be a solution.
